Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Faces New Sexual Assault Allegations as California Authorities Review Claims

Posted on June 3, 2026

LOS ANGELES — Music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing new sexual assault allegations that are now under review by authorities in California, according to officials from the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office.

The allegations were made by publicist and producer Jonathan Hay, who claims the incidents occurred in 2020 and 2021. Hay initially filed a police report in September 2025 in his hometown of Largo, Florida. The report was later transferred to Los Angeles because the alleged incidents reportedly took place there.

According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office, both the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) submitted investigative findings related to a single alleged victim. Officials confirmed that the matter is currently under review and no charging decision has been announced.

Hay has also filed a civil lawsuit detailing his allegations against Combs. In court filings, he claims that he experienced two separate incidents involving the music executive while working on a project connected to the legacy of late rapper The Notorious B.I.G., whose real name was Christopher Wallace.

The lawsuit alleges that one incident occurred during a studio-related gathering in 2020 and that another incident took place months later in 2021. Hay claims the encounters were non-consensual and caused significant emotional distress.

In a statement reported by multiple media outlets, Hay described himself as a survivor and welcomed the decision by authorities to review the allegations.

“Having my painful experiences heard and validated by the LAPD and the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office is an undeniable turning point,” Hay said. “This progress marks a significant victory in my fight for total accountability.”

Hay further stated that he believes justice will ultimately be served through the legal process.

The allegations emerge as Combs continues to face multiple legal challenges and civil lawsuits. The entertainment executive has repeatedly denied allegations of sexual misconduct in separate cases and has maintained that claims against him are false.

At this stage, California authorities have confirmed only that the case is under review. No new criminal charges have been announced in connection with Hay’s allegations, and the investigation remains ongoing.

As legal proceedings continue, officials have not provided a timeline for when a decision regarding the case may be made.
