Nigerian Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has officially returned with his first music release of 2026, unveiling the new single titled “I Know Who I Be.”

The release marks Davido’s first official solo offering of the year and sees the award-winning singer collaborate with South African artistes Jazzwrld and GL_Ceejay, highlighting the growing musical partnership between Nigeria and South Africa.

Davido announced the release on Friday through his verified social media platforms, encouraging fans worldwide to stream the new record across major digital music services.

“I Know Who I Be” is now available on Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music and other leading streaming platforms.

Cross-Border Collaboration

The song continues Davido’s long-standing tradition of collaborating with African talents beyond Nigeria, bringing together Afrobeats and South African sounds in what fans describe as another energetic offering from the singer.

Although Davido has featured on several projects over recent months, the new single represents his first personal release of 2026, making it one of the most anticipated Afrobeats drops of the year.

The collaboration with Jazzwrld also introduces a fresh creative partnership that could pave the way for more cross-border music projects within Africa’s rapidly expanding entertainment industry.

Fans React Online

Within hours of its release, fans began sharing clips, lyrics and reactions across X, TikTok and Instagram, with many praising the production and the chemistry between the featured artistes.

Music lovers also described the record as another indication that Davido intends to remain one of the dominant voices in Afrobeats throughout 2026.

The release comes as competition among Africa’s biggest music stars continues to intensify, with several major artistes expected to unveil new projects in the coming months.
