Afrobeats superstar Davido has taken a swipe at Reno Omokri following the former presidential aide’s explanation for why he has yet to resume his duties as Nigeria’s Ambassador-designate to Mexico.
The singer sparked reactions on social media after sharing a clip from Omokri’s recent appearance on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where the diplomat-designate addressed reports surrounding his delayed deployment to Mexico.
In the video, Omokri dismissed claims that Mexican authorities had rejected his appointment, insisting that the delay was linked to logistical and diplomatic considerations rather than any refusal by the host country.
Reacting to the interview, Davido reposted the clip on his Instagram story and accompanied it with a mocking caption.
