Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has publicly accused her estranged husband, Frederick Leonard, of deliberately delaying their divorce proceedings while also alleging that he is involved in a relationship with a married woman.
The actress made the claims in a series of posts shared on her Instagram Stories on Tuesday, June 9, where she expressed frustration over the status of their separation.
According to Ovire, Leonard has allegedly been slowing down the divorce process despite the breakdown of their marriage.
In addition to the divorce-related claims, the actress accused the actor of maintaining a relationship with a married woman who reportedly has children.
To support her allegations, Ovire shared a video showing Leonard in the company of the woman she identified as his alleged partner during an event held over the weekend.
The actress also reposted a message she had previously shared in February, in which she questioned whether any woman would remain in a marriage under similar circumstances.
In the earlier post, Ovire alleged that the woman at the center of the controversy was initially introduced as a friend, attended their wedding ceremony and allegedly continued a romantic relationship with Leonard after the marriage.
Neither Leonard nor the woman mentioned in the allegations has publicly responded to the claims at the time of reporting.
The former couple married in a widely publicized wedding ceremony in November 2022 and were considered one of Nollywood’s prominent celebrity couples.
Recent developments have fueled speculation about the state of their relationship, with Ovire’s latest statements drawing significant attention across social media platforms.
