US President Donald Trump publicly praised rapper Nicki Minaj during a luncheon at the White House Rose Garden, describing the award-winning artist as “so hot,” “so respected,” and “a fantastic person” while addressing guests at the event.
During his remarks on Monday, Trump paused his speech to recognise the rapper, who was among those in attendance.
“We also have a woman that is so respected and so hot and so great and such a great friend of, I don’t say conservative, I say of common sense,” Trump said before returning to his prepared remarks.
Moments later, the President again turned his attention to Minaj.
“She’s a fantastic person, and she’s a woman that’s respected by everybody, and she’s got real talent. Nicki, stand up, please.”
