Nigerian actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has criticised President Bola Tinubu’s administration, expressing regret over his emergence as Nigeria’s leader.
Okonkwo made the remarks during an appearance on News Central TV on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, where he voiced his displeasure with the President’s leadership.
“I don’t know what we did to God for Tinubu to become our President. Oh God, we are sorry,” Okonkwo said.
The statement was subsequently reported by Nigerian media outlets, drawing attention to the actor’s criticism of the Tinubu-led government.
Okonkwo, who has been involved in Nigerian politics, has previously expressed strong views on the country’s political leadership. His latest comments come amid continuing public debate over the administration’s economic policies, the cost of living and the direction of the country.
His remarks add to the criticism facing the Tinubu administration as political parties and public figures position themselves ahead of the 2027 general elections.
