Niniola Pays Heartfelt Tribute to Late Husband Michael Ndika at Service of Songs

Nigerian singer Niniola Apata delivered an emotional tribute to her late husband, Michael Chiedu Ndika, during his Service of Songs held on Thursday, June 4.

Ndika, the Chief Executive Officer of NaijaReview and a respected talent manager in the Nigerian entertainment industry, passed away on May 19 at the age of 44.

Speaking before family members, friends and well-wishers gathered to celebrate his life, Niniola reflected on their 13-year marriage and the unwavering support her husband provided throughout her career.

The singer, who is known for keeping her personal life away from the spotlight, became emotional as she described Ndika as the foundation of her success and one of her greatest sources of strength.

“Michael did everything for me. When he met me, he said I will make you a superstar, and he did,” she said.

Niniola recalled how her late husband worked tirelessly behind the scenes to support her dreams, revealing that he played a significant role in shaping her music journey and helping her navigate the entertainment industry.

Describing him as her “engine,” the award-winning singer said Ndika dedicated himself to ensuring her happiness and professional growth.

The moving tribute resonated with many attendees, who listened as Niniola shared personal memories from their years together and expressed gratitude for the impact he had on her life.

Ndika was widely known within Nigeria’s entertainment industry for his work as a talent manager and media executive. Colleagues and friends have continued to pay tribute to him since news of his passing emerged.

Following the Service of Songs, family members are expected to lay him to rest on Friday, June 5.
